Refund Policy

What you get back, and when. This policy is part of the Terms of Service. Where a figure is not published here, it is because PLYN has not set one — and an unpublished figure is decided by a person who tells you their reason, not by a rule nobody agreed to.

Version 1 · in effect from 2026-10-19

1. Your right to withdraw

Under Korean consumer law you may withdraw from a purchase within 7 days of the order or of the service being made available to you, whichever is later.

For digital content that has already been delivered to you, that right is restricted — which is why it is disclosed here, before you buy, rather than quoted at you afterwards. The sections below say for each product exactly where the line falls.

2. Nothing delivered yet — the whole amount

If you have paid and the service has not been provided, you get the whole amount back. This covers a report you have not opened, a calendar for a school still in preparation, and a consulting case on which no work has started.

If PLYN finds it cannot deliver at all, you are told and refunded in full without having to ask.

3. Report access

A report unlock is digital content delivered the moment the payment clears. Before you open the report, you may withdraw and be refunded in full.

Once you have opened it, the content has been delivered and the statutory right of withdrawal no longer applies. This is the restriction section 1 refers to, and buying a report is agreeing to it.

If the report you were given is wrong, that is not a withdrawal — it is PLYN at fault, and section 6 applies.

4. Calendar

Before the calendar starts — which for a school not yet collected is before its dates are delivered to you — you may cancel and be refunded in full.

Once the calendar is in force, PLYN has not published a formula for a mid-term refund, and this policy does not invent one. Write to support and a person will decide the amount and tell you how they arrived at it. PLYN would rather say this than publish a percentage nobody has agreed to.

5. Admission consulting

A consulting engagement is refunded by the stage the case has reached when you ask to cancel. The stage is recorded on your own case and is visible to you; it is set by the operator handling it, from what has actually been done.

What counts as each stage is agreed with you in writing before the engagement begins, and that written agreement is what the percentages below are applied against. PLYN does not publish a general definition of the stages here, because one that did not match your own agreement would be worse than none.

  • Stage 0 — 90% of what you paid.
  • Stage 1 — 70% of what you paid.
  • Stage 2 — 30% of what you paid.
  • Stage 3 — 0%.

5A. Refund if you are not admitted

If a university rejects your application, PLYN refunds 50% of the admission consulting fee you paid. There are no additional eligibility conditions. The refund is based on non-admission, not on the cancellation stages in section 5.

This admission-rejection refund applies to paid admission consulting fees. Report unlocks and calendar services are separate services. Contact PLYN through My PLYN or email after receiving the admission result.

6. When PLYN is at fault

Where the fault is PLYN’s — a report that is wrong, a service not delivered as agreed, a deadline PLYN caused you to miss — the refund is up to the whole amount, decided on what happened rather than on a stage.

This is not capped by the table in section 5. A case at Stage 3 that PLYN handled wrongly can be refunded in full.

7. A duplicate charge

If you were charged twice for the same thing, the duplicate comes back. PLYN checks the two payments before refunding, because establishing that a charge is a duplicate is looking at both of them.

8. How to ask, and how long it takes

Ask from My PLYN, or write to support@plynlink.com with your order. Say which order it is and what you want; you do not have to give a reason for a withdrawal under section 1.

Once a refund is agreed, the money is returned within 3 business days, as Korean law requires. It goes back by the route it came — through PayPal, to the account you paid from. How long PayPal then takes to show it is PayPal’s, not PLYN’s.

PLYN records every refund against the order, with the amount and the reason, so that what was decided stays readable afterwards.

9. What this policy does not do

It does not charge you a penalty, forfeit a payment you have already made, or refuse a refund because PLYN suspects something. Where PLYN believes a declaration was false, the outcome is a conversation and, at most, a re-pricing that is explained to you in advance — never a confiscation.
